Minecraft 26.33 (1.26.33): What’s New & How to Download — Android 2026

Minecraft 26.33 (also written 1.26.33) is the latest stable version of Minecraft Bedrock for Android. It is a hotfix in the Chaos Cubed cycle, released on July 9, 2026 for Android, Windows, Xbox, iOS and PlayStation 5 (July 10 on PS4 and Nintendo Switch). If you are on 1.26.30, 1.26.31 or 1.26.32, this is the build to update to.

26.33 or 1.26.33? The naming change

Mojang now names Bedrock versions without the leading «1.»: the game announces «Minecraft 26.33», but internally on Android the installed version reads 1.26.33.1. They are the same update — that is why Google Play and the in-game settings can show 1.26.33.1 while the news talks about 26.33.

What Minecraft 26.33 fixes

26.33 adds no new content: it is a stability patch on top of Chaos Cubed. Its main fix:

  • Texture bleeding on custom blocks: with automatic block face UV assignment and undersized textures, stray lines, solid areas or unwanted pixels could appear around the block. Fixed.

The fix matters most if you play with resource packs, addons or maps using custom models — those worlds look noticeably cleaner after the patch. A standard survival world will barely notice, but updating is still recommended for server compatibility (protocol 1001, servers 1.26.33.1 and 1.26.33.2).

How to download or update to Minecraft 26.33 on Android

The safe way to get 26.33 is the official Google Play store:

  1. Open Google Play on your Android device.
  2. Search for Minecraft and open Mojang’s official listing.
  3. Tap Update (or Install if you don’t have it yet).
  4. Once done, Settings → Profile will show version 1.26.33.1.

What about 26.34 and 26.35?

Builds 26.34 (July 23) and 26.35 (July 28) were console-only patches (PlayStation and Nintendo Switch) with the same fixes. On August 4, 2026 Mojang released Minecraft 26.40 on all platforms, Android included — that is now the latest stable version.
