Minecraft 26.45 APK: What the Hotfix Fixes
Minecraft 26.45 is a hotfix released on August 28, 2026, two weeks after 26.44. It adds no content. It fixes a small set of bugs and one trading security issue, and it has one quirk that matters if you play online: 26.45 cannot join worlds or servers on 26.44 or older, and the other way around.
The internal Android build is 1.26.45.1 (version code 972604501 on 64-bit arm64 phones, 952604501 on older 32-bit ones).
What does 26.45 fix?
Mojang shipped it under the same changelog as 26.44 («26.44/45 Hotfix»). The fixes that belong to 26.45 itself are:
- Gaps in chat: chat messages sometimes showed empty space between them.
- Poppy texture: the poppy an iron golem holds had the wrong texture.
- Trading security issue: Mojang closed a security problem that could happen when trading. It gave no further detail, which is normal for security fixes.
- One more minor issue from Mojang’s bug tracker.

Why 26.45 breaks multiplayer with 26.44
Most hotfixes keep the same network protocol, so a friend on 26.44 can still join you on 26.45. This one does not. If a friend cannot connect to your world, or the game reports a version mismatch, check that you both have the same number.
The fix is to update. Google Play installs the newest build your device supports, and today that is 26.52, well past 26.45, so the mismatch only shows up on phones that stopped updating.
How to check your version on Android
- Open Minecraft.
- Go to Settings and scroll to Profile.
- The full number appears there. If it starts with 1.26.45, you are on this hotfix.
Mojang announces the version as 26.45, and Android shows 1.26.45.1. Same release: since 2026 the public name drops the leading «1.» while the build keeps it.
Should you install 26.45 now?
No. There is no reason to install an older hotfix by hand. Every fix in 26.45 is also in 26.50 and later, and 26.50 added the Wilderness Bound content on top. Update from Google Play and you get all of it. The steps are on our download page.
